snowleopard is wishing everyone a very happy Christmas!

a challenging week 3 years ago

I’m not getting very far with a lot of things this week. Last night was spent washing what felt like 600 wine glasses after an extremely alcoholic dinner party the night before. Tonight is the first Buddhism class at the London Buddhist Centre. Tomorrow is tai chi. Going to a comedy show on Thurs. And Friday am off home to see my parents and the cats, plus it’s the book group so I’ve got to finish the book (The Stone Diaries by Carol Shields), which I’ve had trouble getting into, although it got a bit better last night.

On top of all this there’s the nerve-racking job application…

So unfortunately fitness goals, writing goals, and daily meditation are all having to take a back seat this week, but am not going to beat myself up about it – just need to get back on track next week.

that I copied this goal, Stine – I liked it so much!

I seem to have a tendency to become overwhelmed with an enormous number of things “to do”, as if life is just a succession of tasks to be ticked off – so think this goal restores the balance nicely. It’s great to have aspirations, but they can’t be achieved immediately and shouldn’t be viewed as yet-more-stuff to get stressed out about.
