I first starting doing this in the late 70’s and it was difficult since whatever
I have restarted it about a month ago and it is better because with the internet translations are quick

I looking for photos of copies of fragments of early text as curiosity and get a feeling for how it actually was writen
I really want to learn Biblical Greek, but I can’t decide if I want to learn it using the Modern Greek pronunciation or the Erasmian. For me it makes sense to learn the modern, living language (although it may be more challenging) because the “classical” seems a bit contrived. At the same time I don’t want to be the oddball in Bible school…
Any thoughts?
I went for a semester a few years back and still have all of the info. I have no idea where I could even take this class in my area, but if I could pull out my old papers and study the vocabulary and verbs again, that would be a decent start.
here’s a vocab list.
it’s in a zip file, but i PROMISE, it’s not a virus or anything.

i’ve got down present verbs.
oh my, there’s so much left to learn.
I took Greek this academic year at seminary. Now I just need to stay somewhat current with it so I can actually use it.
I make progress, but then I don’t follow it up daily—which is necessary. I don’t think one can learn Biblical Greek without a regular prolonged effort. I’m lacking that right now.
