"Bonuses and Tax-Returns are for paying off your Car!"

How I did it: Normally, I blow bonuses and tax refunds on fun stuff (new guitar, rock climbing gear, etc)

But the past couple years, I dropped it all into the principle on my car, which made the normally scheduled payments fast enough to pay off the rest in half the time it should have taken.

Lessons & tips: Paying on principal makes a big impact later on down the road!

    I paid off the first car I ever bought in 2007. I hereby want to seriously think about never owing a car payment again. Cars are hugely a pain in the arse to pay each month. It’s an American problem and I can do better.
