start a business of my own

i just need to decide what i am going to do…

Just remember to take it one step at a time.

It’s time to REALLY look into this. What it takes, what it will cost, exactly what goes into something like this, the process, what I need to do first. No matter what I say or do my heart always takes me back to food. Cooking/Baking & feeding my family & friends. I love to do it. It’s my love of food that powers me to do it all. I love creating & I love sharing it…I keep getting told that I missed my calling…I think I should listen a little bit more & truly follow my heart here.

I’m changing this from ” start my own business at home” to “start a business of my own” I no longer totally care if this business of mine is out of my home or not. Matter of fact I don’t think I want it to be. I want to keep my family life separate from my work life. And I think I want to open my own Cupcake/Muffin shop…and have a place for decorating your own cupcakes and maybe even do a class for kids to make their own…and have special holidays ones and organic and healthy and “deceptive” ones so kiddos don’t know they are eating healthy & I want funky weird off the seat of my pant flavors I think it would be so fun. Who doesn’t love cup cakes & muffins?

A dear friend of mine is using her hobby of crafts to make a business. She created a reusable sleeve for coffee cups. Like the sleeves you get at Starbucks? But these are handmade & very cute. It’s her way of trying to help our environment. So I give the CupKozy…

I sell www.tastefullysimple.com and I thought maybe if I can sit my ass down long enough I can create some sort of a menu using those products…to do frozen meals. Sort of like Dinners My Way. Ill create them myself, small to start…and sell super cheap so people can try them out. Ill let them know the products that I’ve used so if they wish to purchase those separately they can. I’ve come up with stuff before using their products & have had co-workers tell me I should submit the recipes to the company. I dunno it’s just a thought.

I like the idea of doing something I really love to earn an extra income. If it could turn in to my business at home I would just I dunno LOL but Id be one happy girl!

But Im loving the idea of doing a dreamdinners thing or umm I forget the name of the other one thats very similar. Id love to be able to do something like that but make it affordable. Right now Dreamdinners is the most affordable one but honestly it still seems rather expensive there’s got to be a way of doing it & making it so working moms can go & afford it. I wouldn’t pay what they are asking honestly. I know I could make that stuff at home for cheaper and maybe even better. Im really diggin the idea but not at $250 plus in start up costs. Im thinking I may have found what I wanna do!!

the best idea. A business at home? what am I thinking!? my kids are monsters. 1st day of vacation & Im pulling my hair out!

but what does it take to have your own catering company? Im thinking this is the way to go. Ive recently decided that I DO want to go to school for culinary arts if I can. I love to cook more than anything. I love making yummy foods & I love even more when people love & it my foods…Im thinking this is the route I want to take. But how?
