and the other night took some pictures at my local hangout. It seems that most pictures are instantly better when taken with a poloroid. The cost of film is depressing, and I have to monitor what I take a picture of. I used to think that I took really good pictures, and then I got a digital. Maybe having the preciousness of film, and a limited number of pictures makes photographs better. Maybe it’s looking through a view finder. Also, people are amazingly receptive to having their pictures taken with poloroids, and only a few want to keep the photo.

but I am working on a photographic representation of the people in Shreveport. It’s called “I am Shreveport.”, creatively enough, and it will be part of an art exibit at a new artspace opening downtown. I wish I had the means to do this project with real film and a darkroom, but since the exibit is a collaborative effort, I can keep it on a small scale with my printing limitations.
I’ll also post the pictures on my flickr when they are ready, so my 43T friends and see them.
