I decided to take another sewing class. My teacher has an entire classroom in her house basement. There are only 3 people in my class, so I receive plenty of help. I made a skirt, a beautiful purse and now I’m working on a blouse with 15 pieces. Soon I will learn to design clothes and sew without a pattern. I’m on my way toward reaching my goal. 5 months ago

Okay you know those 18 inch dolls like American Girl? Well, I can now successfully make a standard t-shirt for them! I have learned to understand the directions in the patterns for them and can make it without the instructions by memory now as long as I have the pattern pieces to cut out! One more step forward in my sewing skills! Now I think I will try to make a pair of pants for my niece’s doll to go with the Christmas shirt I finished last night. 6 months ago

Okay so I took the class today on beginner sewing. Most of it was things I already knew. However, we did get to zippers which I hadn’t ever done. So I am very glad I went! I made a cute little zippered bag. I also learned how to sew on a button with a special button foot which I didn’t know you could do before. My mom and sister both went too. Mom seemed to enjoy the class more though. All in all, it was a good class. 6 months ago

Signed up for a sewing class today with my mom. My sister will be signing up later on so that she can attend with us. Now I just have to wait until Nov 10th for it. 6 months ago

Going to take sewing classes starting in November. Found out a local quilting shop offers basic sewing classes and project classes. I’m taking the basic class with my mom and sister then one on applique by myself. Can’t wait! 6 months ago

I can already follow simple patterns and come up with simple projects on my own. However, I lack the more advanced skills in sewing that I would like to have. I also can’t hand sew for my life. lol. 7 months ago
