past few days

ok, this summer has been truly fantastic. guilfest (the local festival near where i live) was really good, full of crazy, friendly people. i’ve bummed around to the beach a couple of times and have spent many days just lounging around with my boyfriend, which has also been pretty good. these past ten days i’ve been to four parties (and as a result i am utterly knackered), and i got an a in my german as. oh yeh.

back from scotland, which was really great actually despite the near-monsoon weather that we enjoyed. my trousers were soaked, water was halfway up my shin and they were so heavy that they kept falling down. i love rain though.
the last few days were so great. i’ve been just crawling around town and seeing friends. yesterday i wandered into town with one of my friends with ipod speakers and two bunches of grapes and sat under the canal bridge singing like lunatics. and then today i slept in the park with my best friend, who makes me happy.
it’s just so nice and calm. and later i’m off to the beach and then off to brighton with my friends for a little sejour, which i’m thoroughly looking forward too. terrific stuff!

so far, so good. absolutely knackered, and i’m off to see the killers.
also, on a different note, i’ve got myself a scrapbook. i can just get all my photos and stick ‘em in and remember my summer. it’ll be really great, especially since i’m pretty sure i get temporary amnesia.

αძძy ❀ is hella good at making enemies.
sooo.. I’m pretty sure this summer isn’t going to be a carriage ride through the park. Not too early to start planning for summer ‘10 ;D

I really did have a great summer. Got to do some cool things, met some great folks. It is not often I get to put myself first and that’s all I did. And I liked it.

Got really busy at work. Had to do some business travel and had a few personal tasks to tend to. It took up more time than I wanted..
However, I have gone out a few dates with some nice guys. Definitely a nice way to spend a Saturday evening! Met up with some friends of friends…whom are becoming my friends…lets of fun dinners and some dancing…then off to breakfast with all the club kids – the best people watching ever!

Hung out with an old friend. At first I was planning on just laying around in the air conditioned comfort of my home, but B called so we had lunch on a local restaurant patio overlooking the state park. We then visited the notorious “Lobster Zone” game. While I love lobster, I was hesitant to actually play the game. Its like the crane game for the little stuffed toys, except you try to grab a live lobster, to which the kitchen cooks it up for you.
I didnt play. It doesnt seem right…I mean…playing with your food is one thing…would love to read some of 43Ters thoughts on this one…

So I rode the “Ski Train” from Denver to Winter Park. I now understand why some folks are so into trains. I met the neatest people on and off board. While in WP, I took a chairlift ride up to the top. The views of Fraser Valley were spectacular, as was seeing first hand, the damage from the pine beetle. Spectacularly tragic…
Folks coming to to visit Denver, or living in Colorado already, I would highly suggest spending a Saturday on the “Ski Train”.
