I have been studying French almost all my life. I have been in France three times over the years. I can read, understand, and speak French relatively well. My first language is Spanish, and my second language is English. I have a Ph. D. degree in Instructional Systems. I consider myself an expert in computer applications in education and in distance education.

This is a challenge, because I have somewhat a shoestring budget, but my family is Franco-American, and to learn more about my own heritage I’d really like to live in France for (at least) a year.
I no longer plan on this goal ever happening. It isn’t possible with 3 kids in school, and me going to grad school.
I want to live in France for a year during my final year of grad school. I want to research anatomically modern human fossils and cave paintings. My dissertation is on the impact humans have had on the Earth’s ecology. But first I need to build my French language skills!
