I tried three types of apples..the kids and i had an apple tasting contest. Ambrosia, JAZZ, and Pacific Rose. THEN I bought a Minneola tangelo. It seems like every time I go grocery shopping I find produce I have never heard of before.

A friend at work made chocolate-orange fudge. I tried it, not thinking i’d like it. It was so delicious, i asked for the recipe. Her secret was to use REAL orange extract, not the imitation stuff. And she added more than called for.
The portabello-leek cheese was wierd, but my 8-year-old loved it.
The flavored popcorns were awesome. Also getting those recipes.
My boss made them for me for a Christmas present.
Neither of whicH i will have again..
the corn is white..I heard many people rave about it, but I prefer the yellow stuff.
My friends at work are starting to make fun of me for ordering strange foods I have never heard of whenever we order Chinese.
Last time I discovered something great, not so this time.
But the little seckle pears were awesome. they are so cute and tiny, sweet!
Kind of like broccoli, but I liked it even better! It was delicious. And when you get that excited over a vegetable, it’s a good thing.

goji berries- they were actually samples at the local natural
food market..look like dried craisins. Not bad..
I ended up buying a bag
Asian pear- pretty good, although tastes like a normal pear, and
the normal pears are much cheaper.
Singapore chow mei fun- We ordered chinese today, and I decided
to order something I never had, nor knew what it was.
There was no description at all.. Turned out it was
pretty good…very thin noodles with chicken, pork and shrimp, lots of veggies and a mild, brown sauce. I may even order it again
I found some in my cupboard, I have no idea what I bought it for. I just realized I’ve never had it, so I opened up the jar at lunchtime. It tasted a bit like artichoke hearts.
My cousin bought this..we were saving it for dessert. It was yellow and spiky on the outside, and gross when we cut it open. It looked like seeds in snot. Very gross, slimy consistancy. None of us wanted to eat it. I tried it. Not too impressed. My four year old devoured it, God bless her. Now she asks for kiwano for breakfast every day.
