I am soon to be 29 I am 5’6 and weigh 165 pounds. This is the heaviest I’ve ever weighed. I’ve always been skinny. So now it is time to stop being lazy and lose this weight. I have started trying eating healthier and less. I buy whole wheat noodles and crackers now. I drink two fruit shakes a day and have started exercising, and I have been drinking more water. I know I can do it, I just need to stay consistent!
How to lose 35 pounds
How I did it: I followed the advice of Dr. Paul McKenna on food: eating only when I'm hungry, stopping the minute I feel slightly full, eating what I want, eating slowly.
I also took to a variety of daily exercise (cardio, weighlifting, spinning class), and always drinking lots of water.
Lessons & tips: Take it one day at a time, do the things I put in the "How did you do it" box. Be kind to yourself when you stumble, cheer yourself as you progress.

EMcElfresh is feeling festive!
I have really gotten serious about getting active 3X a week, and have not visited a drive thru (except for the occasional Diet Coke) in over 2 weeks. I have starting taking a multivitamin, a calcium with D suppliment, and have filled the house with fresh fruit and veggies. I am really focusing on eating more whole foods, less pre-prepared foods, and making smart “convenience” choices.
Whew!
I got my first compliment yesterday…yippie!
up to 192.9 today.
slacked off on training and rushed through the day. didn’t have time to eat breakfast or make a sandwich for the next day…had soup for dinner then weighed myself an hour later.
all in all it’s probably just a daily weight flux.
We’ll see tomorrow.
Whooh! ...I guess that hour & thirty two minute Yoga X workout yesterday did it’s job. Woke up today & weighted myself & had to double check.
For you guys who think Yoga is for wimps, check out the P90X Yoga X. It’ll make you into a sweat soaked wobbly knee’d mush about half way through it. I had originally intended to add in an extra Cardio X yesterday but just ran out of glycogen.
...Eating right is only half the battle. I skipped working out yesterday, trying to get back on track today.
can I do it again tomorrow? ...
Strategy: Weigh in during morning using the Wii fit. keep Caloric intake under 2k/day. Carbs in the morning, 1 Fruit only mid morning, Proteins at night. P90X when I head home.

well, i am down ten pounds from when i added this goal just from being more conscious about what i eat, and walking when i have time (maybe 2-3 times per week). granted it’s been several months, but such a surprise to see the weight coming off.
in march i’m starting a tougher regimen of eating and exercise, so i plan to spend february getting myself ready for those changes. here we go…
