join a commune

Is anyone making any progress on this?

i just logged into this and i’m hoping it is for real. to be honest i don’t know a lot about it, but i believe if we actually got all these people together who say “i want to join a commune” and actually did it, it would work out beautifully for us. there’s only one way to do things in this world, and that’s by actually doing them… taking action is the only way, so let’s not just wish, let’s do it!

I have been treated for depression since having an accident where i witnessed a family member die in 1997. Anxiety and panic attacks started after the birth of my two children, first the anxiety, (with the birth of my son, now 9 and a half), and then the panic attacks (with the birth of my daughter, now 3 and a half). This year i want to get freer of these inconvenient and frankly annoying and often debilitating conditions. i cannot afford cognitive behavioural therapy and my nhs g.p (who is very helpful) says there is no point referring me to the nhs service which is ‘woefully inadequate’. so i am pursuing on-line (free) advice on relaxation techniques, not pills herbal or otherwise… breathing techniques and trying to get to the bottom of triggers for the episodes.

i have had enough of living in a rented house!! I am looking for an alternative and greener lifestyle with my partner and two young children (9 and 3). My parents were hippies and i moved around alot. Both my parents are now off my scene. my dad’s a crack- head and alcoholic and lives in a council house. But he’s not safe to visit. My mum lives in cambridgeshire but is very un-well. I love doing creative projects, gardening, horses ( i ride and drive them). I’m dynamic and slightly nutty. i want to be part of a community thats more like-minded, shares common goals, debates ideas and can create and shape its own future. SO i’m looking to find a commune here in the u.k. Enlarge my family (for all the good and bad that brings)!! and escape my mundane hamster-on-a-wheel type existence for a LIFE!!!

I am surprised that only another 15 people want to do this! I want to sell my house, pay hardly any tax, consume less, control the means of production, and not need very much money.
