Go white water rafting

What a fun day! Even for those of us that can’t swim this makes for a fun trip. We went down the New River Gorge and the tour guide was fantastic. He guided us with direct commands and was a joke a minute. I would do this again in a heartbeat, infact was eyeing those kayaks(man, I really need to learn to swim!). Anyone hesititating should put all reservations aside and go for it.

I’ve gone white water rafting 3 times already (Ottawa River in ON, Kicking Horse River in AB, and somewhere north of Quebec City, QC) and loved it each time. Hmmm, when can I go again..

Down the Colorado River at Winter Park! A week from Sunday. I cannot wait.

Odd for such a bookworm, my interests and passions tend to be very outdoorsy (riding) and energetic (dancing).

Looks like this one will happen sooner rather than later. H has a friend from CA coming who also wants to do it. We’ve made tentative plans to do it in Estes Park down the Colorado River (across the continental divide). Apparently, this is the best time of year for first timers to do this since the glacial melts are much more gentle. I cannot wait!!

I finally got around to planning a white water rafting trip to the Ocoee River in Tennessee during a visit to a friend’s in Chattanooga. It was great! I would definitely recommend it. The gorge we rafted through was absolutely beautiful, and the rafting was not as physically arduous as I had expected. The rapids were also not nearly as rough or wild as I had thought they would be. There was very little strenuous about it. I hope to go back now and do the full river trip!

Soooo fun!! This was a years back and I can’t even remember what river it was on…Wolf maybe?? At any rate, I can clearly remember being ridiculously nervous and happy to get out of the rapids…would I do this again? HELL YES.

I went on a weekend trip to West Virginia to white water raft. It was the funnest weekend I’ve had in forever. The rafting was so exhillerating. When I first got to the river I was so scared but once I was on the raft all my fear went away and I truly had the time of my life. I strongly reccomend raftong for everyone. You should try it at least once. Chances are you’ll want to do it again… I know I want to.
