txmt I wish my ex-husband wasn't a sociopath.
Well, just found out the minimum age on whitewater rafting is 5 years, so it will be 2013 by the time we get to do this one, so I am moving it to the very end of my list =)
How I did it: Me and a group of friends all booked a rafting trip to go on the Ocoee River, in Tennessee. It was cheaper with the group rate, our guides were all really cool, and even with falling out of the raft, and scraping my leg on a rock, it was an AMAZING time. Beautiful country, beautiful weather--- it was perfect. And the adrenaline rush in the rapids was awesome too!! Read how I did it…
How I did it: We were in West Virginia and crossed the bridge that's on the quarter, that wasn't bad. On the bus ride there however, we almost ran a guy off of the VERY narrow road. When we got to the raft we met our guide, his name was Adam. I made my sister switch seats with me and my mom's helmet didn't hook; this seems random to say but the whole thing was recorded and seeing it was like watching a Final Destination movie. I am afraid of wate… Read how I did it…
How I did it: It was part of my company trip to Bali. I came back and craved for more. Went on to two other white water rafting trips. Am planning to try in a river beyond Grade 3 rapids. Read how I did it…
How I did it: As a child I was involved in the boy scouts, and venture crew. One year as a group we organized a trip to go white water rafting in WV. We booked a group trip through a local company and went and did it. Read how I did it…
How I did it: I first went in Bali-Indonesia, really light rapids but good for a 1st time. My sister was glad she didnt get wet so the balinese guide threw her overboard.I also went at Salta Rafting in Argentina, which was about 3grade rapids, again nothing crazy, few good runs, we managed to get stuck on a few boulders with another raft on top of us at one point! Our raft also had a dog in it..hilarious! the end was nice and relaxing and we jumped out… Read how I did it…

sharbinholley is ready for some changes.
I went white water rafting in TN with my youth group and it was so much fun. I admit though I was scared at first because I had a fear of going over the raft (even though I can swim like a fish in water, but it is rough water with lots of rocks). I say ‘just do it’! =)
We have booked our spots on the trip down the Athabasca River for next Saturday. I’m so excited. It’s going to be such a blast! It will also be really exciting to check off my first achievement on 43things!
Kristina loves bean burritos
I’ve done this like twice before but the youth group hasn’t been going but I still want to go! Maybe I’ll get a little group to go or something.
My friend Carly and I have planned a weekend trip to Jasper with the sole purpose of going white water rafting. We just have to make the reservation. I’m really excited. She went when she was in Austria, apparently, and said she LOVED it and thinks that I will too. I hope so. I could use a rush right now!
courtknee is upset with Joe.
Last year, Manda and Britt and I were going to go, but then my tonsils decided they hated me. So, hopefully this year we can go. The place in deerfield has white water rafting, but I think ziplining and white water rafting in one day would be painful.
