I would love to meet conor oberst. He is my favorite musician of all time. One time at a concert in Tennessee that I drove five hours to see, I snuck around to the tour bus before the show even started. It was parked along a small street that was kind of hidden, so I pretended like I was just walking down the road. All of a sudden I heard the door to the bus open. I froze the second I saw conor sneaking by. He saw me and stopped for a quick second as our eyes met. Perfect Opportunity, you may think…
For a normal person, yes. You would be right.
But instead of saying hi or smiling, or even moving, I stood there with a blank look on my face and my mouth wide open in disbelief. After about ten seconds of me being a star struck idiot, he proceeded to walk into the side door of the building.
And I was left to drown in self pity while replaying the event over and over again in my head.
I’ll get it right next time.
I hope.

How I did it: I met him after a concert a long time ago. I had forgotten about this website. I just read through all my goals tonight, and upon seeing this one I was a little disappointed. Meeting him was mediocre. He's very.... superstar. It annoyed me. Read how I did it…

I saw him with the Mystic Valley Band in November. I stayed around, but didn’t get to meet him. He is such an inspiration. I just want to meet him and make sure he’s real.
I’m seeing him in five days and I really have a good feeling about it. It’s at the same venue I saw Rilo Kiley at, and I was able to meet them afterwards. So, I’ve got my fingers crossed :)
my friend and i went to their show in omaha in april of this year, it was a seated concert but we didnt care and rushed the stage..we were center front..no baracades so we were inches from him..we shared his beer with him on stage..and since we started a crowd at the front of the stage i didnt want to hang on to my purse so he was okay with me putting it behind the mic stand by him..after the show my friend and i sat outside cooling off and he came up to us and put his arms around us and just said hey. we talked to him for a while..he signed some stuff for us..and it was just the two of us there..and then took a picture with us…if you want to see the pics i have them all on my myspace at..

19 days till I am in the same room as the my love, Conor Oberst. I’ll die, and tell ya about it.
i saw him on the 22nd. and he was great mildly influence on something i doubt it was alcohol because there was no sluring words and he was drink a beer on stage but he did leave the stage for about 5 minutes and signaled hed be back and came back extremely happy.. so im guessing backstage he had some sort of thrill awaiting. it would have to be one of the greatest experiences of my life for sure. although it was seated, he was looking directly at us when we screamed to him. :)<3
