How I did it: Let's be frank I like sleeping. Usually I wait and wait at night before deciding to go to sleep finally. And morning dreams are the best. but thats onlt because I have been going out more – getting in later – going to sleep later.
Not exactly sure I want to break the “going out” cycle just yet.
until I came back from holiday and got really bad jet lag. Plan is to get up REALLY early tomorrow and then go to sleep the normal time so my REM cycle can be kicked into step.
Got up at 5AM this morning – dunno what happened but I woke up really early and decided to get up then.
It was a good move, I feel good although I have accomplished nothing yet apart from making my entire family breakfast felt good being the good daughter for once.
Too early? Seems a little like it.
On the other hand, I did a half hour of yoga and was able to get out and start my walk just as the sun was beginning to rise. So lovely, watching the mist vanish and the sky lighten.
I was really pumped by the time I got back and had breakfast, and I had so much done by 7:30 in the morning.
I guess I’ll see how dead it makes me tonight.

I am lucky enough to be able to stay up late and sleep in late. Why begrudge myself this? I am lucky to be able to do this. Now when school starts again the story will be different. Maybe then I’ll re-adopt this goal.

As an officially unemployed person (whoop whoop) I am finding it very difficult with this goal. Two weeks ago I was waking up at 6:30 now it’s 9:00 if I’m really trying. Mmmm… must try harder!Don’t let this get a hold of me!
Yesterday – 9:30
Today – 10:30 (after a particularly gruelling gym session the night before)
Tomorrow I’m going to try for 9am!
with no school/exams/revision to be done I’m going to bed later and waking up later – not a good cycle, so it stops tomorrow!

although I work at the midnight shift i make myself guilty every morning because i wake up so late. A 11 a.m. half the day is already gone!
