Forgot to post about my weigh-in last week. I was up again… 0.6 lbs. No reason, I had been really REALLY good, so it was frustrating… but what do you do? I keep moving forward, period. What other option do I have? Give up??? Don’t think so. 6 years ago

then got EXTREMELY busy & haven’t journaled for 4 days. So… I start back at DAY 1 w/ my counting. I’m proud of those 63 days & it stinks to be starting @ DAY 1… but it’s better than not starting at all, right??

Today is DAY 60… 2 solid months of journaling… totally, honestly, completely.
Things are obviously going well… & when all is well w/ THIS, all is usually well w/ just about everything else! :o)
Now on to the NEXT 30 days!

Yesterday was day 57… wow, cool! :o)
There was a girl in my meeting 2 – 3 weeks ago, when I mentioned my 30 day THJ challenge, ask, “does journaling REALLY make all that much difference?” ...you wouldn’t believe all of the “Oh yeahs!” coming from the group. It was kind of like a “Duh!” moment.
I’ve always considered journaling to be one of the key parts of WW… from the very first time I started WW when I was in high school (1983?), checking off those little boxes (bread, protein, etc…). That WAS WW… tracking. I didn’t realize that there were people out there who thought it was optional. Yeah, I know some are better than others at actually DOING IT… but I always figured that the ones who didn’t journal because they just couldn’t get that part of it together, were not doing it w/ a whole bunch of guilt! (LOL, just kidding… not THAT much guilt) I didn’t know that some out there just didn’t think it was necessary. Call me memory-challenged :o) ...I NEED to journal.
Does it really make a difference?

...of course, now you’ve got CORE, which I think is absolutely fantastic… not just for the journally-challenged, but for everyone. It guides you toward clean whole foods…fantastic for you & much more of a practical, life changing way of life. I eat mainly CORE, but I still feel the need to journal. :o) 6 years ago
Had my WI on Saturday …had a pretty good week of THJ & no-sugar…other than the fact that I was just a bit in the hole for the week (but didn’t count my APs… not that I earned all that many to count…only 8), the scale decided that it wasn’t going to give me a pass for not giving it everything I got & I had a 0.2 gain. Only a little bit disappointing because I like losing streaks :o)
I’m doing great though, so a tiny gain like this isn’t going to throw me off one bit.
I’m already in the middle of this week & am doing just fine!! :o)

Great day today…THJ-wise.
Weigh-in tomorrow… I’ve journaled daily & like I said yesterday, am in the hole pointswise just a bit… AND I’ve been a slug this week, earning only 8 APs all week. Hope it doesn’t bite me. Maybe it SHOULD!! :o) Nah… I’m doing pretty well…certainly a gazillion times better than I was 55 days ago, huh?? :o) 6 years ago
Good day, but I’m in the hole for the week w/ 1 more day to go… making pretty good food choices & THJing all of it… just not keeping a tight reign on my points. I’m not WAY in the hole & it’s worked out okay for me the last few weeks, especially since I’m not counting any of my APs, but I hope it doesn’t bite me @ WI on Saturday. We’ll see. 6 years ago
Day 50 today… wow.
Trying to make sure to get in all of the important basics… water, F&Vs, dairy, oil, protein @ each meal, higher fiber, etc… I think it’s what’s working. & no sugar, of course. :o) 6 years ago
Well… who gives a crap about sodium! LOL! I found myself down another 2.2 lbs this morning for a total of 13.2 lbs over 7 weeks!!! Can’t believe it!!

First of all… I didn’t post [here] my WI results from last week… UP 0.4 lbs, despite the fact that I’d had a great week. No explaination & it only ticked me off because of the fact that I’d had a nice losing streak going, which had been a long time coming.
Anyways… I didn’t let it get to me & had a good week this past week (other than being in the hole 15 points, that is!! LOL!) & had an AWESOME WI on Saturday… down 2 more pounds for a total of 11 lbs in 6 weeks. I also FINALLY got my 5 pound bookmark, after having reset my stats a year ago September!! (which I then promptly turned around & gained like 12 pounds over the holidays & had been struggling to get it together ever since!) It was pretty exciting, to tell you the truth! Funny to explain to people who don’t know me why I had been saying I had lost almost 80 lbs one week just to get my 5 lb bookmark the next!!! LOL!

.........I’m less than 11 lbs away from “virgin fat territory”. :o)
Anyways… I’m thrilled… things are going well. Today is DAY 43 of THJ (totally honest journaling) & sugar-free… 6 weeks… hard to believe. It’s obviously working, so I’m not changing a thing. :o)

The week has gone well for THJing, despite the fact that I’m around 15 points in the hole. Don’t know why I had such a hard time keeping my points a bit more under control… maybe that fact that I was sick much of the week… my appetite is never usually lessened when I’m sick! LOL! Oh well. The fact that I didn’t get many APs in this week won’t help, I’m sure. But, I journaled, that’s what I’m looking at & am proud of.
Tomorrow is weigh-in… don’t know what to expect… whatever. Will continue to keep it together. 6 years ago
Today is DAY 38… I’ve been sick the last several days, so I haven’t posted, but I’ve continued to journal faithfully.
Oh yeah, I see I didn’t post about my weigh-in here… although I had a fabulous week, I gained 0.4 lbs. Whatever. I try not to put much weight in the scale exactly for this reason… you never can tell what it’s going to do. Just do your best & know that it’ll eventually have no choice but to reflect your success! Ticked me off, though, as I was on a nice roll. Oh well… continuing on.

Today is day THIRTY of THJ for me!! Yay Me!! :o)
It’s gone pretty smoothly & to have losses each week makes it pretty obvious that it needs to continue. Of course I’ve been sugar-free all that time, too & my losses are always better when I’m not eating sugar (or everything else that I crave when I am eating sugar)... so they pretty much go hand in hand, I think.
Now on to the next 30 days!

Wow…it’s been pretty smooth…thank goodness.
Can’t believe I’m down 9.4 lbs in those 30 days…
...actually, 26 days.

Another good day ends my week. Weigh-in tomorrow. I feel like I ate too much sodium today, which might affect my weigh-in… or not. Who knows? (who cares?) I just had a small slice of super thin crust cheese pizza (like 1/3rd of a slice…1 point) & I feel like I can still taste the salt, which is why I’ve got this feeling… that’s probably a whole bunch of nothing. Will chug some water before bed to maybe flush my system a bit… then get up to pee 10 times throughout the night! :o)

Another great day behind me. I had plenty of protein today & got my oils in. (& all of the other basics) Those are two things I’ve had the toughest time w/... especially eating enough protein. I’m making sure I have some sort of protein at every meal now. Breakfasts have always been the toughest, but I’ve been making french toast w/ 2 egg whites lately… turned it into an apple bread “pudding” the last two days. I completely made it up as I went along, but I figured it would be just like french toast, but casserole style… w/ apples in it! LOL! (or shall I say “hot dish”? Minnesota, ya know?)
Okay…here it is:
cut up an apple, sprinkle w/ cinnamon & nutmeg (1 pt) & put it in a sprayed glass loaf pan… cook in microwave for a few minutes. Cube light wheat bread (3 pieces, 2 pts) & put it in dish w/ apples. Beat 2 egg whites (.5 pts) w/ a little milk, cinnamon, nutmeg & splenda & pour over apples & bread… let sit for 10+ minutes. Cook in 350 degree oven for 30 – 45 minutes, depending on how “done” you like it. Top w/ syrup (mine is sugar-free – .5 pts) & enjoy. That’s only 4 points for a good sized breakfast. 6 years ago

Another week of THJ, being completely sugar-free & getting in some APs (16)...I find myself another 1.8 lbs lighter! That puts me back under 200 (again), at 198.2 lbs to be exact…plan on staying there this time!! :o) That’s 8.8 lbs in 3 weeks… undoing the 8.2 lbs I gained over the 6 previous weeks! :o) Looking @ my weight chart of this long journey of mine (on my site), I haven’t been under 198 since March ‘05. Feels good, that’s for sure!
Nice to be in control instead of all over the place. I plan on staying that way… being sugar-free is definitely helping.
Now to kick the activity up a few notches. :o)

Being sugar-free helps a TON w/ all of this. I’m @ DAY 16 being sugar-free, too. I found out that Oregon Chai makes a sugar-free version of their original chai, which I LOVE but have avoided because of the sugar (& having to count the extra points, of course). It’s ZERO calories, ZERO everything, which means ZERO extra points added to my milk. Yum. Cub Foods has it on sale this week (2/$7), so of course I picked some up. Too sweet full 1-1 ratio, so I have it around 1-3 ratio (1 cup milk, 1/3 cup chai)... even then it’s pretty sweet.

12 days of THJ (Saturday was day 13) & a bit of activity payed off… I was down another 2.4 lbs this past Saturday… that’s 7 lbs in 2 weeks. Nice. :o) (& puts me right smack @ 200 lbs) Sure wish that rate of weight loss was something I could keep up, LOL, as I would get to goal by my 4th WW Anniversary (Jan 23rd)… but that’s asking too much. (as I’ve NEVER been a fast loser, not something I strive to do, either) I’ll take consistent behavior through the holidays, how about that??? I’d be super happy w/ reaching my first 5 lbs lost since resetting my stats last September, only 3.8 to go!! :o)
