CatChLi is regretting a giant biscuit binge
I have studied mediatation and become aware of its extremem benefits to one’s mental health. Yet there seems to be some blocking to my practice. I have some audio tapes and they are going to gently ease me into it.
I do yoga weekly but it is just not enough to feel any benefits or even feel as though I am a practitioner at all. I know I would feel more balanced and beautiful in my form if only I could keep it up. It doesn’t even need to be daily, just MORE!

Sometimes I have trouble focusing on the here & now, however, I find it easier to meditate when I mix it with some yoga practices. Therefore I found it fit to keep these two daily practices as a single goal.
I’m going to try to do this everyday, even though sometimes it will only be for few minutes at a time.
I have already bought a wonderful yoga mat and I have also put together a playlist with relaxing music so I’m ready to start this goal right now :)

I haven’t been in the habit of regularily meditating for over a year now. When I did, I felt the benefits, but I really need to start again.

MIRV MIRV version 2.0 launches today
I plan to do at least two yoga classes a week. I will also advantage of the yoga books I have and attempt to practice yoga once a week at home (or at the gym outside of classes). As for meditation, a few moments are included in most classes (corpse pose and child’s pose both allow for quiet introspection) but I also wish to begin taking a few moments perhaps even most weekday mornings to sit and reflect…. This is such an important goal for me, I need to make the time for myself. 2008 is the year I get yogi with it!

Not yet, but I’m still actively thinking about how to organize my life so I make the time/space to meditate every day. I bought a book on yoga in a limited amount of time, so there are sequences for 5, 15, 10, 60 and 90 minutes depending on how much time you have. I think this will really help as I would optimally like to be doing yoga every morning and evening; and having a ready-made sequence to follow would really help! Also, I’ve got to put together that yoga poster of poses that has been in progress for several months now :(

I’m going to work on doing yoga once a week and working my way up. I think I’ll be more likely to stick with it that way =)

... but I did yoga today and yesterday. I feel a bit sore, but very relaxed and refreshed. If I keep this up I’ll be at my 3 x’s a week goal of five weeks ago. That’s the plan and then I can work my way up to daily practice.

This is something I really need to be doing. I feel so alive/focused when I spend these moments with myself. It all comes down to being organized, so as to make better use of my time.

... going to a yoga class, because doing this on my own hasn’t been working. Perhaps incorporating yoga into my schedule will keep me committed.
