I have been driving like crazy. Theory… well not really like crazy but i do read on regular basis.
I just did the skid-pan which means i can book the test. I figured i will like do it in the beginning on august. Sounds good?
I will book five more driving lessons (not at the same week) and drive with my dad. This is it, let’s get this licence!!!

Had my tenth lesson today! Cool! And I noticed it was my tenth cos he gave me new challenges! Today I drove OUT from the Brommaplan parkinglot which is the first time for me. It’s a very hard parkinglot with cars and people driving/walking like crazy. I have parked there before but as I said, never driven out from it.
We drove on the motorway for the first time and I got up to the fifth gear – for the first time! Also a bunch of roundabouts which i have driven in like once, twice before :)
We got all the way to Vällingby where a friend of mine lives and it was nice to see the little town in a whole new perspective ^^

Something pretty scary happened today while driving. The road was very tiny and there were houses EVERYWHERE. So I drove very slow. Like veeery slow. And suddenly a dog runs towards me and my car. My teacher was like “GOSH, STOP!!” and i did. When I started to drive again ANOTHER dog runs towards me! And though the first dog was gone, this one kept runing around the car and it freaked me out. Believe it or not, im not ready to run over a dog yet! If i ever will be. I dont eat animals and i dont kill animals.
Tried parking. Some ways works and some doesnt. But Im learning. But a wierd dude kept staring at me. Like really AT me!! I paniked and didnt want to try when he stared!! I was like “what the hell’s wrong with you, let me drive in peace please!!” so we drove away cos i just couldnt continue with his eyes on me all the time..

The minute I turned 18 (sep, 2008) I got anxious. Why? Because it became legal, at that very moment, to get a driver’s licence for me. That’s the rule in Sweden. Not before 18. And I hadnt even started yet!!
Sometimes I love myself when it comes to figuring out what to do, i have loads of ideas. So when i decided to become an Au Pair in USA (january 2009) i looked at some organisations and they were all “You need a driver’s licence” or “driver’s licence optional but it’s best for you if you have it”.
so, now I have taken all four theorylessons and 7 driving lessons. I’m really into this, even though i have plenty of schoolwork (well I graduate in two months so I’ll manage)
I will try to update after every class because i would like to see my development in this, i need my licence this summer so i can apply for a family :)
I’ve been working on this since almost a year now. Getting a drivers license in Germany is a bit more difficult than I would have ever thought.
I had 3 driving tests, failed them all :-( It’s a crazy feeling, I’ve never failed on an exam before in my life, though I’m through my bachelors degree. It has been pretty hard going through that, but now I’m almost ready to give it another try. I had to wait 3 months after my last failed exam, but now the waiting is over. I’ll start practicing again next week.
Those of you who want to take a drivers test in Germany: in case you see a double-blinking Bus before you or even on the other side of the road, SLOW DOWN to 5-7 km/h even from 50 km/h. This is no joke, I spoiled 2 exams by not taking this rule serious enough.
I have made a booking for the 5th of February for my driving test. Now need to practise, practise and practise.
Wha a struggle it was to get a booking but finally got a booking for my learners licence. One down, 3 to go. hurray!
this is just one of the things i think i should get round to doing someday. there is zero motivation at the moment – i’m not going to buy a car; i have no money to buy a car; there is no need to drive here in singapore… however, if i do relocate, i think this should be a priority. being able to drive definitely will have it’s perks then…
