I’ll try to have an Iron Man DVD movie night for teens and older where fresh fruit is served and Iron Man can be watched by many teens and older who can get together in a social event while chilling out and relaxing. Admission is $31 per person and the money all goes toward getting gifts for needy people. :) I think after that I’ll have a latenight Sex In the City the Movie DVD movie night for adult women and men if they’re into chick flicks since the movie IS rated R where admission is $21 per person and the money all goes toward the gifts for needy people as well. The adults can have a day of relaxation in a social event for $21! :D
How to organize a charity event
How I did it: After participating in a St. Baldrick's event a few years ago, I decided to organize my own. After contacting the great people at www.stbaldricks.org, they helped me to prepare and organize a great event.
Lessons & tips: Be patient and take your time. Dot your i's and cross your t's. And actually want to make a difference. Dont do it to make yourself look important, do it because you feel the need to help others that may be less fortunate, going through terrible times, or that just need a little help now and then.
Resources: The fine staff at www.stbaldricks.org provided everything that I needed. I also did some research on other events that were similar.
People doing this are also doing these things:
