My current job consists of me photographing children for their ridiculously particular parents. I’m always exhausted by the end of my shift, and parents’ attitudes are a lot to deal with. What’s most rewarding about my job though is not seeing those parents spend some $200-300 on my photographs, but encapturing that glowing innocence in every child, even the most rambunctious ones.
The job pays the bills, but the hobby is what I want to improve. I have a Canon EOS Rebel K2 (film) and a Kodak Easyshare Z740 (digital). If I had the funds, I would undoubtedly purchase a digital SLR. But I’m not trying to freelance or anything of that sort. I just want to sharpen my skills with the tools that I have.
