How I did it: While i was in new york city i went on a sex and the city tour which was VERY good. On the walk back to times square for dinner we saw a virgin records store in the west village. Of course we stopped and i happened to see the sex and the city complete collection. Its a very nice set complete inside a pink booklet. It cost me around $250.00 but that was a price i was willing to take. I watched it as soon as i got back to my actual home. Gr… Read how I did it…

Well my so called “boyfriend” cancelled on me today… Again…
We’ve been dating for about 3 months now and I have never ever felt so unwanted in my life. He says he needs time to adjust to the situation… He hasn’t had a girlfriend in quite some time…
But anyway… :)
I’ve been watching my favourite show all day now and I have to say it helps me feel a bit better… Yay for SATC! :)

I stayed in and watched these while i moved stuff at my old place and packed it all up.
It was a great transition thing to do after my longwinded breakup with JB, and its been a really validating force in my own sexual politic.
I rented the last few dvd’s and watched them from JB’s place (which is empty right now because he’s out of town) and it made being there WAY more bearable.
Its also made me much more appreciative and open with MY girlfriends.
They can’t be there for you if you don’t open up a little bit!

I’m going to finish watching this series before i leave toronto.
I started watching because of a breakup and i wonder if finishing it will help me find a certain closure to that ‘rediscovering confidence’ state of mind.

i’d watched some of it when it was in syndication a few years ago, but i hadn’t really WATCHED it.
I’ve been systematically renting the episodes from my video store and watching episodes here and there.
I love this show.
Its totally about people older than me who are living in a different generation, so i can’t aspire to be ‘like them’ and honestly how devilishly uncool is all that materialism!?
I do however, relate to their enthusiasm, their struggles and the forum they provide each other to be open and explore what they are going through together. Those kind of friendships are something i hope becomes more central to my life in the future.
My good freinds are spread all over the country and i would love one day to have a more close friends, that i live closer to so as to have a standing lunch date with my outstanding friends.
Until then, i’m on disc 2 season 4, so i’ve got a little fantasy left.
