I wouldn’t consider myself the most coordinated person, but I do consider myself a good driver. I’ve been driving for about 6 years now and I realized I had never learned to drive a standard. I’ve actually had dreams where I’m stuck somewhere and have to drive a standard for some reason—then I get behind the wheel and freak! haha so today my dad took me for a ride in his standard. I probably only got about a half hour of practice in, but it was enough to learn the basics and be confident enough that I COULD drive one if I ever really had to. I’d definitely like to practice more and become confident with it (and way less spastic!)
I will say that it was a bit uncomfortable to drive though because I’m short and you have to extend your leg down all the way on the clutch. Being short that means I had to sit pretty much right next to the steering wheel, which is definitely not ideal.

This was also a step to prepare myself for one of my other goals: learn to drive a motorcycle. (someday… sigh) 22 months ago
