keep up with the news

The more I hear and read, the less I know what to believe. Politics is so not my thing. I’m still searching for newspapers or website that is actually not so detailed, but but highlights only the right stuff.

The news is usually really depressing. I’d rather not know.

is keeping me in line with this!! So much going on in Sudan. And it’s mostly stuff that makes me sad. But I enjoy it. I like being in the know!

whenever I try to watch the news on TV, it never fails to highlight a downright stupid story. “Guess what this famous person does on the weekends?!” “Wanna know what the Obama girls are having for lunch?!” “college football blah blah”

And when I try to read stories online, most of the sites I used to go to have now updated to all video. Which is annoying. Because I don’t want to take five minutes to watch what I could have read in two.

Annoying. Any suggestions for good news sites/programs? If I hear one more celebrity gossip blurb, I will go crazy.

I don’t usually read any news, newspapers, I don’t even watch anything on television. Today I did and I found it really worth my time!

I have a neat idea for a blog, I plan to randomly pick news from either BBC or local, then make a nerdy/geeky graphic which wraps up things concisely… news with “byte”, hehe! Trying to perk myself with mottos like “Editorial Cartooning of the future”. Surely theres a market for this stuff??
P.S. Still not sure if you folks will like it, so Im taking time making it public. :-D

As horrible as it is, I am just not bothered. I have to force myself to watch the news or read newspapers. I am far too interested in my own things.

I think this is a good place for me to start. It’s Canadian, it’s young, dynamic, informative, it’s on at perfect time (right now!).... and it provides background/bios for stories and people (I think this is the seller for me) – oh, and the interviews with awesome, inspiring people.
