Benji is very happy
But I bought this specially…
I have no idea what to do with this goal, I took up mainly because I wanted to be supportive of some friends here, esp Mirian :)
I guess the theme is about Coconut?
Hee, I do feel for Coconut mainly because it’s part of us here and it’s a tropical tradition !
Traditionally and even now, we use plenty of spice and coconut in few of our dishes. E.g. curries(Malay, Indian, Chinese & Nonya style), Laksa (another type of curry), Nasi lemak(coconut rice), different types of kueh(cakes), Nonya(mixed of malay & chinese) dishes, and even for various kinds of dessert.
Our coconuts are imported from neighbouring countries like Malaysia, Thailand and Philippines ; they are well known places for growing this tropical fruit. And coconut is like a staple food for most S.E.A countries including us. Though there is no coconut plantation over here but it’s still very fresh when they deliver to us since we are very near to one another.
Attached is a pic of “Bo Bo Cha Cha”, a traditional coconut milk dessert “soup” with melon fruit(rock melon & water melon), tapioca, yams and colourful sago :) It’s one of our national food here, and one of my personal fav too!
Happy Belated Coconut Day and oh ya, Happy (Belated) Brazilian Independence day, Mirian!! Hope you had a good celebration!!
Joseph Robertson wishes his Twitter updates would come on here too

My biggest achievement was to bash two empty shell halves together to make horse hoof type sounds in a school play, some years ago.
