start a specialty seed company

So far we’ve started http://InfiniteGardens.com/ and are stocking it with seeds saved last year. We’ve also had some limited success on ebay and a few items from the store have sold. Betsie has been instrumental with streamlining and crafting the packaging. We still have over a dozen species to list. I have been concentrating on plant/seed descriptions, seed processing.

I’ve a number of seed trays planted. I’ve been trading seeds on the net, been learning a lot getting a lot of varieities of things to try this spring/summer etc. Most importantly i’ve been learning about seed production,cleaning, storage and germination. I am hopeing this summer to get enough money for a nursery liscense.

But hey i was doin this kind of stuff … gardening, saving seeds, identifying plants, making cuttings … for fun since i was about 7 so …

I am taking the master gardener courses through the MSU (Michigan state u) extension office. It so far seems to be review stuff for me… biology degree an all … looks like maybe i will be able to get involved in some native plant stuff for my volunteer hours.
