‘Feeling a bit better on my slacker status….

A few months back, i did manage to gather up all my “outstanding” postcards that i had received, and finally got them registered on PostCrossing. Also, i started working on keeping a binder with send / received PC’s , info and addresses, so that i could keep track of my account…

Then i promptly misplaced the binder in my piles of clutter for a few months…

Re-located it about a month ago, re-located my stamps, and have had it laying in a prominent spot in the living, thinking it’d write some PC’s while watching TV some night.

Finally finally, i did so this past sunday…wrote out 2 PostCards, apologized profusely from taking months to send a PC, and put them in the mail monday morning. Woo hoo me.

I’m certain there’s still others that i owe; still have to organize & go thru all the address print-out i’ve got. Even still, i find one problem i have is in trying to figure out what to write—it honestly took me about 2 hours to write those 2 postcards. Which is probably why i get so behind. (Darn You, LD Process-Deficit !!)

But i hope this is the start of much better pattern…

i hate this !! i hate the slacker that i have become on this! i feel horrible for the people who’s addresses i ‘ve received, that i’ve never written to yet. I feel even worse for the kind people whose lovely postcards i have received but havent acknowledged in any way. I’ve become a miserable failure at this whole mahvelous enterprise….

i honestly dont know what dynamic goes on in me that keeps me in this guilt-ridden, inert state. Depression, certainly, plays its part. But its something i LIKE... Why is it that depression keeps you from doing even the things you Enjoy ?!?

Ok, end rant & soapbox. Now you know the worst about me…
