I just installed Ubuntu and now I have it as the second operating system on my laptop besides Vista. So far I’m convinced by the speed and responsiveness of Linux but I haven’t tried to do much with it. At least the installation process was easy and I managed to configure my internet without any hassle, so I guess it’s safe to say that Linux isn’t really more difficult to use than Windows – it’s just different!
I’ll keep trying things out and see which OS I’ll end up using more. :-)

Linux is great. You can greatly reduce spyware and virus problems by switching to Linux.
Here is an easy introduction to trying Linux for free:

Linux is great! If you have a good background in computing and a talent for teaching yourself, all you need is a push in the right direction to get started with Linux.

I tried it, now I just have to figure out how to use it… I’ve got Ubuntu on my good laptop, and STX linux on my old slow laptop. I was surprised how well Ubuntu works with this thing, it even detected the integrated wireless and automatically connected to a network. Nice!

I dunno, I guess there’s a lot going around about Linux, and I would like to check it out someday. Sure, I’ve tried PS2 Linux, but that really doesn’t count. It runs sluggishly on the PS2, and really doesn’t offer the same “thrill” as using real Linux.
