listen to my entire music collection

i finally got all of my songs imported onto my ipod – 4333 songs (and i still have over 40gb left on the ipod), and i’m listening to them in alphabetical order. so maybe a month from now i’ll have accomplished this goal… if i don’t get any new music between now and then ;)

Also, heard my mum playing a Billy Joel greatest hits. i know….my street credibility has gone right down the drain!!! (any I had) but secretly have to say the guy had some great songs. Clever lyrics, catchy melodies. I cleverly ‘borrowed’ it and burned it onto the computer. Have been recently grooving to ‘We Didn’t Start The Fire’, ‘New York State Of Mind’ and ‘Goodnight Saigon’. Can’t beleive I shared this but good music is good music! Good lad Billy.

Found a CD a friend had lent me at least a couple of years ago by Modest Mouse. Never listened to it before, and it amazing! Wish I had put the CD on when he lent it me! Amazing band.

It was a total 7-month trip, but it was damn fun to do. I can now honestly say that I’ve listened to everything I own. If you’ve got the time I suggest trying it.

You get board after a while!

so in three months i’ve gotten to the R’s. Radiohead is the next artist on my list, and by golly i am going to finish this thing! the end is in sight, and once over i can then say “i have listened to all 8700+ songs in my library!”

but man will i feel it in the morning.

currently in the beginnings of this. Thus far I’m nearing the end of the B’s (though I skipped 2 “A” artists so I may have to go back later), but I’m chugging along – slowly but surely I will get through all 7000+ songs!
