see U2 in concert

We were among the ~96,000 people at last night’s U2 concert at the Rose Bowl. We had nosebleed seats in the bleachers, which caused some discomfort, but the show was really enjoyable! We’ve been to so many concerts together that we’re not sure we’d rank this among our favorite – it’s hard to feel connected when you’re quite a ways away! – yet overall it was such an excellent performance, how could it not be among the best?

We parked at PCC and rode the shuttle, which was effortless there and would have been effortless returning if the people around us had a little patience. Oh well, it’s LA; what can you expect? By the end of the night we decided that although we had fun, we were happy to deem this a “once in a lifetime” experience, by choice.

Going next weekend!!

This is just about three weeks away and I am SO excited! Totally not looking forward to the Rose Bowl parking situation, though!

I just forgot to make a note of it. This goal is certainly not a FAIL. I had amazing seats at the first concert of U2’s US 360 tour. THEY WERE AMAZING!!

Ideally I want to see U2 in Dublin – is that too much to ask? I live in western Canada…..

as I write this. They are playing @ Giant’s Stadium in NY on Sept 24-25. Says SOLD OUT! Keep looking for dates to see them this year!

OK So now I have saved lots of money and going to see a show isn’t really an issue… except the tickets sold out immediately. I was at school that day and missed the tickets by like an hour or so because of class.

And I hate the idea of buying it off someone who is going to make a profit from it. So there goes that goal.

We picked up cheap nosebleed tickets to see them in October. I’m not a huge fan, but they’re so legendary that I’ve always wanted to do this. Looking forward to it!
