Time to re-enter the music world. Played cello for a long time. There is something about the bass guitar that is attracting me.

my first bass guitar was an Epiphone EA-260 which my mom bought for me after 8th grade. I still have it, but now I’ve added these to my collection:
-1977 Fender Jazz Bass (4-string)
-Warwick Bleached Blonde Thumb Bass B/O (4-string)
-Yamaha TRB-1005 (5-string)
Next purchase will be a fretless bass – either a US made Fender Jazz or a Musicman.

I actually bought my bass guitar from my friend a couple of weeks back. It was his first bass, and he was selling it because he has like, three other ones. I got an amp, cords, case, and stand too, but unfortunately, I left it all at home because I wasn’t sure if I would have enough room in my dorm up here at Penn State.

My good friend, Luke the Bass Guitarist, put up an ad for one of his old guitars for just twenty-five dollars. I jumped at the opportunity, and even told him I’d be willing to give him more than twenty-five, easily. He’s getting it re-stringed, then we’ll figure out where to meet up and make the exchange.
It’s a Kingston bass guitar, and he tells me it’s got a 70s sound reminiscent of “The Birds” and “The Turtles.” Think of the bassline from “You For Me,” and that’s the sound you’d be hearing. It’s rather warm and upbeat.
I finally have a bass – and it’s not the one out of argos either, it’s much nicer! It’s dark blue, and it was a christmas pressie – and I love it. <3 Many thankies to grandma and grandad, who bought it me!
I’m not sure why, but I’m slightly obsessed with bass guitars. Maybe it’s because THEY ROCK!
Woo.
So I’m getting one for £150 – from the Argos catalogue.

Complete with plectrum, amplifier, lead, strap, and carry case! Normally amps are £60 on thier own… I can’t afford it yet, but I’m working towards it. Wish me luck!
