How I did it: I went there on vacation with my boyfriend last August. I organized the whole thing online (flight, hotel reservation and museum tickets). Yay for the internet!
Lessons & tips: I can suggest sightseeings and things worth doing.

It would be so neat to see the huge buildings, mass people walking to work, so many taxis, the toy store by Central Park, so much stuff! And one of those famous hot dogs.
There are so many things I want to do here…
1. See the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island
2. Go to Coney Island
3. Watch either Letterman or SNL live
4. Catch a Yankees game
5. See a Broadway show
The list goes on…
A five day trip and I think I got to see a lot of what New York has to offer. I saw The Empire State Building (twice, once at day and once at night), the New York SkyRide, Central Park, the Central Park Zoo, MoMA, Times Square, Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island, Wax Museum, NBC Studio Tour and Rockefeller Plaza, took a cruise around Manhattan, and saw two plays: The Seagull with Ian McKellan and Curtains with David Hyde Pierce. Most of this was possible through the New York Pass www.newyorkpass.com, so we payed one low flat fee for all the tours, museums, and experiences. We only paid extra for the shows and got those at discount half-price ticket booths. I saw New York by plane, train, automobile, taxi, subway, bike, walking, bus, ferry, cruiseship, and silly ride simulation narrated by Kevin Bacon. Can’t wait to visit again!
When you realize a place is in you and you are in a place and the two are inextricable.
When I went to be at the birth of my new baby daughter. It was going home. I loved it all - ezperienced so many people and places I love. Like being wrapped in a blanket like a baby. I did go home again. Maybe the trick was that I didn’t return for that reason. It was a by-product. Hmmmm. What a lovely universe.
I spent three days in the bustling beautiful city of New York. It’s as amazing as everyone says it is.
