See George Balanchine's "Jewels"

At least this time I know beforehand. Too much going on this past weekend and next weekend to manage a trip to Seattle. BUT, the Oregon Ballet Company will be performing “Emeralds” in October. My guess in the next couple of years they will be staging Jewels. Worth the wait, worth the drive to Seattle!!!!!!

I better look up what the NY Ballet Co is doing in August, since I’ll be there dropping my son off for school….

I was speaking with one of our volunteers yesterday, about ballet and how our spouses don’t like to go. I told her about Jewels, and how I almost booked a trip to NYC several years ago when the ABT was performing it for Balanchine’s 100th birthday, but didn’t because of my son’s school trip to Japan. So I googled it today, just to find out it was performed in Seattle (a mere two-and-a-half hour drive away!) three months ago! If it’s ever performed in the Pacific Northwest again, somebody hit me over the head and tell me where!
