herbgoddess40 is doing what a good friend told me and coming back to 43 things
Worth doing!
I have actually done this goal and I’m really proud of myself. I have been reading more for over a year and buring up that library card. I actually did a summer reading program for adults through our local library and for doing so won a drawing for 3 free car washes. I was excited. I’m reading the Stephenie Meyer collection now. I know it for young adults but it is really good. She has Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and the new one Breaking Dawn. I haven’t gotten Breaking Dawn yet but all the kids around me have got it and read it already. I think it is great that these Authors like JK Rowling and Stephenie Meyer are getting kids back to reading.
by Nicholas Sparks.
well, i read this b/c it’s being made into a movie soon and the movie sounds so romantic.
unfortunately unlike other nicholas sparks books, this one is quite lacking, and only gets interesting in the last 50 pages.
hope the movie is better
finally finished reading breakfast of champions by kurt vonnegut. that’s my third book read this year.
it’s been a good book to read while i’ve been in an annoyed-at-the-world mood.
next up is a book that was gifted to me: native speaker by chang-rae lee.
I’m not much of a book reader. My greatest accomplishment was finishing the Harry Potter series. However, I moved to a new town, and all of my new friends are avid readers, and I feel left out when they discuss. They started a book club, so I joined. Now I feel like reading all the time!
Last Book: Memory Keeper’s Daughter
Current book: The Alchemist
Mary_Cruz is writing her TCC.
I want to start from classicals and go to modern writers. I want to read more poetry too.
Debbie Macomber “Morning Comes Softly”
No I’m not really proud of it, but I read it.
