move to California

I’m now officially living in California and it feels fantastic! Christian and I got all the stuff moved into our little place (with the help of some movers). It felt really fantastic. We’ve already started unpacking boxes and later we will be buying some new furniature to make sure everthing has a place in our new home. We really love it. It’s a very nice home.

I’ve become such a cleaning organizational nerd that I spent most of last night cleaning all the cupboards geeking out over how efficiently they use storage space in the apartment. With pantries and double rung closets and little cubbies everywhere in the closets, everything is going to find a nice little home out of site and out of mind. :)

Next step? Finding a job… oh and actually getting internet in our apartment so I don’t have to come down and use the complex’s computer room every time I want to check my email. :S

I have always had the dream of living “the good life” in California, and me and my BF are planning on moving there within the next 2 years!

anyone live in the region?

I am looking to move to California from the UK and I wanted to know how I go about this?
I have applied online for my tempary work visa for a year and passed online but I have to go for an interview at the American embassy.
I work in TV as a sound engineer but I am also looking to set up another company from my home as well.
Has any one got any advise about the hole move and protocol I have to go through?

Well I didn’t get the job in Bakersfield so now I will keep looking. I know I don’t want to be in Home Improvement anymore,not sure what I do want to be though. I have always had a love of fashion and seeing the movie Fame triggers my love of dance and all things flashy. lol. Well,movin on now and I’m going to keep searching.

We move in October 12th!! I’m beyond excited! :D

so i currently live in nc. i just graduated from cosmetology school and my options feel very limited here. and honestly i love love love hair, but i really want to try and be a special effects makeup artist. my friends just moved to l.a. and ive been visiting them this week and i love it here. this is where i need to be. so i am currently broke, and my lease in nc doesn’t end until june 2010, and there are complicated issues with my roommate. so i probably won’t move until my lease is up, but that is my goal. follow my dreams.

on our trip to California, but we definitely narrowed down the choices. We have a few places we’re really interested and a city we’re completely set on (Woodland Hills).

We were waiting on a call back from one apartment in particular, but after over aw week of waiting, I think we’ve completely given up there. Ahhh well, right?

I’ll start calling around Monday again for places to find out more.

Wednesday is the day that we go out to California to find an apartment!!! How freaking exciting is that?! I’m so pumped. I can’t wait. This is all happening! And so fast!

I have a full time job here in cold Michigan. I like the Company I work for however I loathe the position that I have. I hate working in retail,however it is all I know how to . I didn’t go to college. Anyway, I am thinking that if I move to California I can have a clean start and continue in retail until I find something else. I can probably transfer within my current company although I would rather try to find something else. So,I am still in Michigan and it is August..wanted to be gone by winter,probably not going to happen. This is a dream that I want to make happen,thinking of trying to visit in September,just to make sure this is where I want to end up.
