Now…the long wait for some fruit.
I hope to see it get bushy in the near future. I’ll have to learn more about how to prune this tree. The goal to plant is complete:)

starting on my little tree. When I bought it a few weeks ago it was like a stick with roots. I am glad to see it starting to show signs of life. The flowers are beautiful for this tree…I can’t wait to see them.
Planted it in a pot last night. It will grow to be between 5-8 feet tall with regular sized fruit. The info says it may take 3 years to fruit but the plant actually looks like it might be a few years old. Even the flowers are beautiful on this tree.

mib7 is so behind!
When the apple tree arrived by mail a couple years back, I almost cried. The box contained what looked like a stick with a little bit of root on it. We planted it anyway.
The year, however, the apple tree is bordering on gorgeous. Sure, it’s sort of scrawny, but it has a couple dozen blossoms for the first time. This year or next, we’ll be eating our first Roxbury Russet apples.
put a swing on it and make lumpy chunky applesauce with the apples. I shall prepare a picnic, lay a blanket, and wait for that special someone I have yet to meet. If it is YOU reading this, you are invited… Bring an extra blanket darling in case we are out late…
My mother turns 52 next week and she just bought a beautiful cottage in the forest by a lake. If I buy her a tree and plant it for her this summer, does it count? I think it should. The tree is the operative word. Not the owner of the tree or the geographical location.
