I don’t know why I find it enjoyable to pluck hairs out - I’ve been doing it since high school when I would sit on the phone randomly tweezing out leg hairs. I do it more when I am anxious, and I think I can easily spend half an hour at a time doing it, and I think it may have caused acne.
I’ve been doing it less ever since I started using more acne medication, which puts a layer on my skin. A new goal is to only do it in front of a mirror so that I can see what I’m doing and stop touching my face mindlessly.
Ha ha, the google ads on this group are all for tweezers.

what a weird habit? huh… I can’t help it… I find a pair of tweezers and I just have to pluck something… I would pluck every hair off my body if I had the chance… but I want to stop… it’s time consuming/unhealthy and leaves little scabs all over my body…
so I’m buying a razor tommorrow… and a good one if I don’t pluck for more than 3 months…
here goes

Haven’t stopped, but my eyebrows are growing in fully. Not ready to stop completely I guess. Never the less, I am becoming more aware of the process: the impetus, the impulse, and the action. Plucking is really a way to distract me from or soothe intense feelings from which I’m alienated.
