I joined roller derby! It’s super funny and very physical. I’ve already lost 10 pounds and am really toning up. This is way better for me then trying to exercise on my own.

How I did it: I signed up for a gym membership at LA Fitness with my dad and our family friends. Then this quarter at school I am taking total fitness and yoga, so I have to excuse not to go....more like I have to go! Read how I did it…

To become a police officer i actually need to start getting more in shape.. I am healthy and i do goto the gym, but im going to need to start lifting weights, (blah) to build my strength. I have four years so i think ill be fine, but there is this fitness test you need to pass to be a police officer, i havent found out how hard it is yet, but im sure its no walk in the park. When i start at SMU in september ill be getting a free membership to thier gym so i can stop spending all my money going to nubodys.
weight room here i come..
I used to work out almost daily a few years ago… Then I did yoga for a few months. I loved it. I got too busy to keep going so I stopped. Now, my back has been bothering me and I keep telling myself I will start exercising. Hasn’t happened yet. Can’t seem to find a comfortable pair of sneakers :(
i’m basically in the gym four days a week now, alternatig rock climbing or weight training (+rowing machine, and other exercies). saw a personal trainer a few times that got me started with a few weight training exercieses (see “starting strength”). also on week three of the hundredpushups.com thing. i’ve definitely “started working out” so i’m calling this done!
rock climbing a few times a week. hiking here and there. treadmill, pushups, crunches, pullups, leg press, etc… thinking of doing the personal trainer thing…
I used to be in good shape, but I joke with my wife that I haven’t lost my pregnancy weight from any of our three kids. I belong to a very nice health club but never go. My son needs to start working out as well, he’s 13 and going to be a big kid, and he hates competitive sports. I keep telling myself if I could just get a couple of workouts in a row, I will feel so much better I will continue working out and achieve my goal. The first one is the hardest.
ryam needs to get back to his blogging...
I have started and stopped and started again… argh.. while maintaining a monthly membership fee at the gym and not to mention the occasional trips to a boxing facility near my home. It’s fun but I just don’t see myself taking this seriously. Help!
I think I’ll start counting this as done when I’ve been going about 4 days a week for awhile…
