Born in New York City, lived there till I was 7, have visited about 100 times and never walked across the Brooklyn bridge! Last weekend I was standing at the seaport with some friends on a visit from Maryland and someone said “have you walked the Brooklyn bridge?” So I said “let’s do it now” and away we went. Very spectacular view and the history is incredible. It was only about a half mile across and the weather was nice. Not a major milestone but a cool thing to do on a lazy sunday afternoon.
