improve my dental hygiene

Set a habit of brushing at least once a day; set a habit of flossing at least once a day.

I already did a solid week of brushing my teeth once a day, now I’ll try an additional 2 weeks to make sure it’s a solid habit. Then I’ll worry about flossing.

I thought this goal would be more like a chore, but I like it. It makes me feel very clean! haha

twice a day, but that’s about it. I want to get into the habit of also using mouthwash and flossing at least once a day as well. I will consider this goal complete after 21 days of doing it, since that is apparently how long it take to build a habit.

I am done with dental work, my re-root canal is healed & pain free for the first time in three years. The antibiotics are done. I still don’t floss every day, but almost always. I am calling this goal completed successfully!!! :D

I had my re-root canal this morning. The hour procedure took an hour and thirty-five minutes. I metabolize novocaine oddly. It makes me pretty wasted, but it also wears off fast. I had to get three shots. It kept wearing off, and each shot was supposed to be good for several hours.

Shaggy the Endodontist was amazed and quit saying super. I think he was getting worried. I am now on antibiotics for a week, and have vicodin. Never had it before, but I am definitely flying! I am really close to calling this goal complete, but I figure after the complications, I should wait until I know that there is not going to be swelling & I am off the pain meds.

In the mean time there will be no alcohol served on this flight! None needed either, as things are in this deep fog and I feel like my brain is wrapped in cotton batting.

I went to the endodontist consult, which I seriously wanted to ditch. I made my Mom drive me. :D I have an appointment on the 23 for a root canal on the old root canal. My endo whatever kept saying “Super.” I did not slap him. He’d better be fantastic for as annoying as he was!!! The receptionist was a vile bitch (my Mom agreed). I did not ask her if she was married or just sleeping with someone there. The hygienist asked me if I read a lot, because I had a book along. I said yes and did not say anything else. Fear tends to bring out my most sarcastic thots from my brain straight to my tongue.

Afterwards I made my Mom buy me dairy queen. I was good!!! That receptionist really was vile…and using “super” 5 times in three minutes made the dental guy appear a dork. He reminded me of a clean shaven Shaggy. I hope Scooby Do is there when I have the root canal. SUPER

I bit the bullet and called the oral surgeon today as the dentist recommended. I have an appointment for early October.

The new dentist seemed ok. The dental hygienist that cleaned & x-rayed my teeth was a lady I gave a massage too last year while still in school.

My teeth are in really great condition all things considered. I need to see a specialist over my one tooth as it already has had a root canal & crown, so I have a referral. I have a little bit of gingivitis & need to floss, floss, floss. They expect it will improve drastically now that my teeth were cleaned.

All things considered, it went better then I expected!!! Now to see the specialist….After that is done, nothing until my 6 month check up – woot!!!!

I am going to the dentist on Monday. I haven’t been in four years and would rather have 10 pap smears & 5 mammograms then go to the dentist. My flossing is improving again, but fell apart during Daddy’s illness & since he died.

I thot about waiting & then realized I will always have an excuse and this is GOING to get done! I know after the initial look see & cleaning there will be work, so this is step one.

Ick!!! I decided that as I hate this goal passionately, if I start it then I really am restarting my life… Ick ick ick!!!!!
