And yet everything happens for a reason and all good things come at a price. I have to stay focused on the most immediate concerns, maintain sight of both of our priorities and never let her forget how much I care about her. I had hoped that I could surprise her with some formalized plans this anniversary, but that is seeming less and less likely. However, there is always next year, right?

However, both of us have changed and grown so much since then and we both need to reaffirm our commitments to one another and to the Great Spirit (God) so we can know that both of our lives are still going in the same direction. I want this ceremony to be a completely authentic traditional Cherokee Indian wedding, and so I have a lot of studying to do and preparations to make as I want it to be a surprise for my wife who also shares my Cherokee heritage.

... because my wedding was a catastrophy… Nothing went right, and the photos suck… I look ugly and fat. Everyone was asking me if I was pregnant.
So now I want to renew my vows. I’d prefer a beach ceremony, and have a party.

I am in NYC and come Sept 2006, my husband and I will be married for 10 years.
I would like to have a ceremony to renew our vows, but don’t know if we should travel to a romantic place to do this, or pull it off in NYC. I just had a baby boy and we also have a 7 y/o daughter. How can I do this on a small budget?
