for instance international women of mystery do not have messy rooms, look dishevelled and sleep in late (unless its due to jet lag darlinks…or a liquid lunch.)

terryn1 is trying to plan for the big move
In pursuit of this goal, I stopped trying so hard to explain things to people, and found that the urge was coming from a need for these perfect strangers to understand and approve of what I was doing or had done.
As the saying goes, “What you think of me is none of my business.”
If you needed to understand what I’ve done, you’d already know about it.

I am not so misterious per se, as I am now open and less shy than I was during college years, but I do keep an awful lot of secrets for my patients and my friends.

maiden, mother, crone, whore. Any of them, all of them. Not always, not at the same time. None of the above, consummer, employee, sex object. But forever me, forever woman.

Thoreau said, “I know of no more encouraging fact than the unquestionable ability of man to elevate his life by conscious endeavor…” and I am certain that applies to us girls as well.
You are who you decide to be – - and I fully intend to become and international woman of mystery.
I intend to mark this goal completely done when I have set foot in at least 3 more countries and one other continent. Until then, my rights of passage will continue to include extensive state-side exploring of my local areas and a great deal of research related to cultural studies and history.
That, and a few seriously well earned trips to the city and out to the shores of my native country. Sun and sand worshiping are all part of maintaining my feminine mystique when it comes to foreign affairs and ministry.
43 cheers to elevating your life and lifestyle with panache. Ladies of the world, rise gracefully!

would I “give up” or give it up. Either way, this goal is leaving my list.
Since I marked it as done, here is how I am this:
Here on 43T, I get to play with people from all over the world, hence the international part. And sometimes I do leave the country, for real, even though that doesn’t seem to be in my immediate plans.
As for the mystery part, it goes without saying.
And finally, when it does happen that my book is published, that will carry me over the top of this goal, with the fictional women of mystery let loose into the world, in that way. But that is a future thing, and is really addressed in my remaining yet to be realized goals.
Toria is in the moment, learning, living, experiencing.
The other day, I was driving with my friend, and I was rather grumpy, and she out-of-the-blue looked at me and told me that I looked like Audrey Hepburn (likely the over-sized shades and the red scarf around my neck.)
She is my inspiration for this; see Charade if you need any more proof.
She’s the whimsical, not the femme fatale, of this genre of Internation Women of Mystery. Femme fatale is great and all, but I can’t pull it off. I’m far too light-hearted. Audrey Hepburn it is, then.
I’ll try to show you what I mean sometime with some photos.
