I want to do this when I go travelling. I want to end up in Moscow and will do Moscow and St Petersbourg.

6000 Miles in 6 Days, 7 Time Zones -But the Train is always on Moscow Time, 3 Visas and 3 Continents
Im Actually did this! But Why?
Having finished an awesome year in The Big Apple, I decided that simply going back to Wales and fighting with Chav’s for lose blondes in crap bars was to be avoided.
I toyed with the idea of rekindling my Gigolo stick -remembered all the pestering calls; and thought better of it. Then I enquired into the possibility of securing cheap passage to Asia on a Cargo Boat or Oil tanker!
However, the fact that a small bunch of very strainge people actually get a kick out of travelling this way makes it very expensive -$100 a day! Do you know how long it takes a super tanker to get to China?
Now it gets a bit weird.
During my early NYC career, I met a girl in a park (alarm bell’s should have rung then, but they didn’t!) Anyway, we spent a few days together –she offered me drugs but I couldnt accept because on the Mountbatten Program drugs are strictly forbidden!
However, sometime before her husband threatened to kill me (He also left me many amusing voice mails, though some would have found them disturbing) she told me about The Mole People –New York’s underground homeless, apparently they have tails and can see in the dark. At this point the alarm bells rang!
Many moons later, whilst in Barnes and Nobel, I came across a book called –you’ve guessed it….THE MOLE PEOPLE. I kinda felt guilty for doubting the poor girl, so I bought it!
Then one day, my friend Billy…...
who incidentally lives in Shanghai, asked me where he could get some info about homeless people in New York for a book that he was writing! I told him about the Mole People; however due to China’s strong censorship policies, he has been unable to obtain a copy!
In Return for the book –I stayed with him!
Now, I’ve wanted to take the Trans Mongolian (That’s the 6000 mile train journey from Beijing to Moscow through Mongolia and the Gobi desert) for sometime. Then some friends invited me to a Villa in Majorca, and then some others invited me to a Villa just out side of Roma.
So it made logical sense go give Billy the book in Shanghai; (-after all, what are friends for?) Grab a train to Beijing, another to Moscow! And then somehow wined my way to Roma and Majorica I was going to continue the journey by train, to Warsaw, then Berlin, then Frankfurt. From Frankfurt I could secure a very cheap flight courtesy of Ryanair to Roma –YEAH
However, there’s a little Bastard Kingdom called Belarus! And unfortunately its not so easy to get from Moscow to Berlin by train without going through it! The money grabbing little state wanted $150 for the Transit Visa!
Belarus -Extortion Capital of Europe
Ill Show You! You Bastards!
AreoFlop: Moscow to Roma $200 -Problem Solved!
Two refreshing weeks in Roma!
A train to Genova
A boat to Barcelona
.....a week or so I’m not sure what to do with, followed by a boat to Majorca! -someone told me there was a boat to Majorca…I’m sure there right! I don’t know where the Villa is so I’m hoping to head me mates off at the airport with one of those signs…..I’ve always wanted to do that!
Then a flight home in time for Mums graduation ceremony on July 13th!
this summer: Bulgaria; next summer: backpacking in Europe; the summer after that: could be the transsiberian!:)
