spreadyourwings Merry Xmas to all on 43things!!!!
I was walking down the street this afternoon, after a day at work that didn’t totally suck when I thought actually, it’s all wonderful!
Why it didn’t suck I really don’t know because after an entire afternoon of rude customers where one in particular evidently thought that I get paid enough to be called an “ignorant cow” because she had to queue for less than 5 whole minutes (SHOCKING! Hey… like I can control either the queueing system, the fact that we were short staffed or the fact that I wasn’t working “checkouts” at that particular moment… being totally besides the point, the ladies there are wonderful and they were working their bottoms off to get through the queue as quickly as possible.) Then shortly after this I got dumped answering the phones with no idea what I was doing or how to help the queries without the staff in the warehouse to deal… but I coped so I suppose that’s another reason to be happy, plus my boss was impressed and has just given me a more important shift role!
Following this, another gentleman came in and he decided to squinny about the bottles of Aqua by the door. 39p buy one get one free… he shouted at me that it was a rip off and that the company was shameless. I don’t care, I just work there… but by all means if yelling at me makes you feel better then sure yell at me.
Yet shortly after that a woman came in who was all smiles, ever so grateful for my help and just by being happy her smile sorta transferred onto me and it became really contageous. I left work after an encounter with my miserable BIG MAN boss still smiling.
Anyways after the bus was half an hour late and I just scraped into my lecture (which turned out to be more of a waste of time than anything before EVER) I decided to walk a bit before I caught the bus. It was sunny and people were chirpy and as I walked across the road a seagull wheeled out and I found myself thinking, I love life! :) Which was really random and really weird but I really, really know that I mean it.
