I went for a week last month to visit my sister. I love love loved it! It was amazing. It is so beautiful there. The family she stays with and all the people there were so nice and so much fun. Ticos are so chill. They seem to never stress about anything. I’m pretty sure I never saw a clock with the correct time (or anywhere close to the correct time lol). I wish I was there now.

I was in Costa Rica this past summer studying spanish in San Jose. I miss it terribly. I loved my host family and traveling on the weekends. I met all kinds of cool people, will definitely go back when I finish graduate school.
checking on airfare. looks like it really will be this summer… i’m so excited at the prospect! i haven’t used my Spanish in so long. (i must remember than mariPOSA is butterfly, and mariCON means something else…)
loved it in 1999! traveled all over – the beaches, the rain forest, the volcanos, the city… it was awesome… just have to be sure to bring a spanish speaker with you when taking the back roads
christinet has been in a cave of despair
I love it there…the people the places and the food (which is part of my chub problem) but when I didn’t have any kids I went there a few times…plane fare was not that expensive…plus I speak Spanish. I loved buy the tinajas (hand painted pottery) and other stuff like that….I need to save money to go back and take my kids with me!
I met a man down in costa rica. That crazy rasta offered me some ganga. I said no way man. I would disrespect my mother. He said Puais! Respect your father!
I recently returned from my first trip to Costa Rica and my first trip out of the country. I visited Arenal volcano in La Fortuna, and went to the beach in Manuel Antonio. It was an amazing experience and as soon as I got back I started saving for my next trip. I MISS THE COFFEE!
yeah im definately going back in the offseason when flights are cheap. im almost out of the coffee i brought back. i love costa rican coffee so much! when im out i dont know how im going to function properly. i love costa rica period, coffee or not, its a magical place.
I went to Costa Rica in 1997 with an ex girlfriend. It was paradise….especially the Pacific side. I especially enjoyed the remote regions such as Montezuma and Cabuya. I sometimes fantasize about selling it all and buying a couple of acres on the Pacific and living a very tranquil existence…..fishing, growing vegetables and fruits, and just enjoying life in a beautiful place. If any women are reading this and enchanted with the idea, let’s talk….Who knows. I could really be swayed, especially the way things are going here in the good ole USA. (This is just my sarcastic sense of humor….)
Costa Rica is worth seeing… I’ve been fortunate to visit three times… this time I found my stride speaking Spanish and have been craving the language and peace of el pais since…
