    I’m grateful for Trader Joe’s.
    I’m grateful for people who are willing to do me favors without grumbling about it.
    I’m grateful for those who believe in me.
    I’m grateful for good books to read.
    I’m grateful for delicious food!

    I am thankful for…

    my mum!
    my daddy!
    the supportive members of my family.
    my wonderful and stupendous friends.
    my supervisor and boss, my part-time job.
    my previous jobs.
    the professors that understood me (or at least, didn’t condemn me for bailing on their classes) and still passed me.
    the professors that really teach well (like my long-time mentor).
    my new phone that my amazing friend got me.
    all the caring people I’m surrounded by.
    my mum voluntarily offering to pay for my housing money (SF).
    trying my best to stay positive even when all I want to do is give in and succumb to the ogres of negativity.
    the big decisions I’ve made in my life – because I like where they have led me to.
    FIDM for accepting me as a student (and for my advisor there).
    old photographs that recall a good reminiscing of the past.
    great music.
    superiffic musicals that I fall in love with.
    the Rent, We Will Rock You, and Wicked soundtracks.
    good theatre performances.
    random compliments from people.
    being able to compliment strangers and brighten their day up a little bit.
    networking sites like facebook, xanga, and livejournal.
    AIM and mIRC.
    having grown up in a very cosmopolitan (in terms of racial acceptance) place on this planet.
    the truly nice people I met at LAX who got me through that horrendous experience.
    kind people on planes and trains that always offer to help me with my bags.
    meeting random people on planes and being able to have deep, profound conversations with them.
    my love for reading.
    good books to read.
    maps.
    Hale`iwa Ali`i Beach Park.
    Musee d’Orsay.
    Regent’s Park.
    good food. Also for the bountiful food.
    having a good business partner.

    UH’s great study abroad office and programs (one thing that UH actually excels at).
    my awesome Paris and London study abroad terms.
    the sublime people I went abroad with (and the people I’ve met while I was there).

    my semi-adventurous spirit.
    my love for living abroad and traveling, learning about cultures!
    learning to be more flexible (thanks to travel).
    the guardian angels I met on spring break (esp. in Italy).

    people who I click with on a level where we can have incredibly fascinating conversations.
    being able to dance when no one’s looking and feel good.
    those who are giving me great (and patient) advice with the move to San Francisco.
    not having to do the happy pills for several months now.
    good health. (Fair, at least.)
    friends that listen – really listen.
    empathetic people, which are a rare breed. (Don’t get this mixed up with sympathetic.)
    women’s studies classes.
    GirlFest.
    having stopped my negative self-thinking and using more positive affirmations.
    Aveda’s skin cleanser, and the awesome haircut I got.
    being able to introduce people to Wicked (and dragging them to see Wicked with me!)
    Netflix.
    the fact that it’s almost the end of George W. Bush’s 2nd term.
    having diverse social circles.
    receiving mail.
    all the twats that have hurt me (intentional or not). No, I’m not being sarcastic.
