i….i, i bought a book yesterday and i’m not finished with the books i have! but i really needed it, cuz all the books i have left are boring ones, so i needed some fun in my life.
but i’m doing extremly good at this, i never thought i’d stand that long to this goal…

I actually finished this a few months ago, just haven’t gotten around to checking it off on my list of things that I want to do. I’ll probably have to reopen this goal though, because I’ll probably go out and buy a bunch of books now.

One more left! 23 months ago

Haha, I finished Dune and Mountains Beyond Mountains. That just leaves one more book: The Singularity is Near, by Ray Kurzweil. This shouldn’t take too long though, because I started reading it, and it is AMAZING. It talks about exponential growth of computing power and makes a prediction for the date of the singularity, which is the point at which computers impact our lives so deeply that we could not turn back. He gets into technology, psychology, biology, evolution, and neuroscience, and brings them all together in one very well-written book about the future of human civilization, and the ethical issues concerning the growth of our technology, which will far surpass anything that we thought imaginable. This is one of my favorite books that I have read. I highly recommend it if you are into biology or technology (I happen to be fascinated by both). It was a New York Times bestseller, and if a science book makes it to the best seller list, it is usually pretty good.

Well, instead of buying new ones I have taken to just going to the bookstore and reading them there. Seems I am inventing new ways to keep myself from reading the books I have. But I am reading this fantastic book called A Year of Living Biblically: One Man’s Humble Quest to Follow the Bible as Literally as Possible Such a good book; I have been pleasantly surprised.
