I did this because my gym looks over a 50m swimming pool. I was fed up of seeing all these guys with amazing bodies and even though I was working out, I was nowhere near. The catalyst was breaking up with my ex.
Firstly, it is hard work! I knew where I wanted to get to so set myself the goal of the swimmers body shape (not a good body for swimming). I stuck to a “clean diet” 6 days a week. I also built up to regular weight sessions and cardio. I enjoy swimming, but it was not my main source of cardio.
I used a program (www.TheSwimmersBody.com) which helped me to focus. I’m sure there are other programs out there too, you just need to think about what it is you really want to achieve, and think how much work you are willing to put in. Remember why you are doing it!
I would now consider myself as having a swimmers body.

I am 24. In San Diego, Ca. I want to get a swimmers body so it can help me feel better about the way I look when I lay out and get sun. I also want to feel more confident when I am naked around my partner.

I’m 18 years old, 6’2”, and about 140 lbs.
yeah. I’m skinny, and I HATE it. I run regularly, I eat right, and I work out, but I still have the build of a 12 year old. drives me crazy.
here’s the plan:
I’ve talked to a few of my swimmer buddies, and i’ve got a workout to start me off.
join a gym with a pool, swim my workout three times a week, light weight training twice a week.
and drink protein shakes like a crazy person.
sound good?
if you’d like a copy of my workout, let me know.

I must – swim four days a week. I’m at the point in my life where this isn’t even nagotible. I’m loosing muscle that I gained in my twenties and getting a belly that I never thought I would.
So – the plan, four days a week (minimum) – 45 min. a day.

Frankly: I’m bored with jogging. The best evidence of this is that I’ve jogged perhaps half a dozen times in the past 3 months. No point in doing something you dislike, so I’ve taken up: swimming.
Here’s the plan: get up early every morning, swim laps for 1 hour, then go to school or work. It’s doable but will require a lot of discipline. No reason I can’t do it, though. I start tomorrow.
I’ve bought: school bag, gym lock, swimming suit, and goggles. I’m set.
The idea is to swim every day & eat sensibly in hopes of getting a swimmer’s build. You know what I mean. The grand majority of women (and all gay men) lust after the swimmer’s build. Tall, broad shoulders, little body fat, extremely muscled and tonned without being bulky. The swimmer’s build is the epitome of fitness: an attractive body built to last. That’s right: sexual attractiveness AND stamina? No wonder women (and gay men) are attracted to this body type.
