ispeakforpeaceThai - Check!

Last week (I kept forgetting to post this!), I went to Darla’s Pad Thai in Toledo. I had the chicken pad thai, medium spice, and it was phenomenal. I mean, I’ve tried making pad thai at home, and it’s always good, but there is something I’m not doing that they do at Darla’s…maybe it’s the fish sauce that I can’t force myself to buy (really? rotting fish juice? who needs that stuff!?), but it never disappoints. Highly recommended, if anyone lives near enough Toledo to give it a try!

That’s TWO! I’m really far from my goal (and I don’t even know if I can name 15 ethnic cuisines), but I am ENJOYING the process!
And I’d also like to make a note, that obviously, I have eaten at different restaurants before, but I am trying to discover new places on this journey, or at least make another trip to my favorites! You will not find large chains in this list either, as I am trying to go for more authentic than Don Pablo’s, etc. 17 months ago

ispeakforpeaceSushi - Check!

Today I went to Kyoto Ka, in Toledo. I’ve been there several times, and am always happy with what I get. It’s rarely crowded, which is really nice, because I always seem to get my food fairly quickly. It’s also pretty inexpensive (at least in my opinion, but I haven’t honestly been to another sushi restaurant to compare prices!).
Tonight I had a spicy crab roll, and a spicy tuna roll. I really liked the crab, but think my favorite is still the spicy shrimp! No appetizer, but we did have some of their new raspberry sake, yum!
Can cross Japanese off my list! 18 months ago
