visit bangkok.
do shopping
also visit the Budha / Lion temple near Bkk
How I did it: When in Bangkok dont forget to go to these places to fill your bangkok dream.
Visit the biggest weekend market at chatuchak
Visit the rooftop bar the sirocco at state tower.
Visit the temples and grand palaces.
Eat at the chaophraya cruise.
Visit Mango tree restaurant famous for its thai dance with good thai food.
Visit Excelsior tailor for suits. The best in Bangkok and worth the price and experience of getting a tailord suit at 1/3rd of the price back home.
Have a great massage at wat pho.(Its a templet that teach how to get a massage) Great place.
Lessons & tips: Avoid all the tourist rip off and the touts that try to pull you here and there to make money out of you.
Resources: Have been there.
Bangkok just gets better and better in my opinion!! Everything is alot of fun and the city itself is just a great place to visit..might think about retiring here some day..maybe!!!
Anyways, as I always read reviews, I’d like to add reviews for 3 places that got my attention:
1. Platinum mall – amazingly cheap accessories and clothes sold here..better than MBK and the weekend market in my opinion!
2. Crown Tailors for tailored clothes on Sukhumvit soi 8
3. Tailored shoes on Sukhumvit soi 11 right at the corner as you walk in. FOrgot the name now, but wow, the first time ever and not the last!
Well, I missed my chance to go to Bangkok as it was part of a tour that I was on – as it turned out – I missed this part of the tour.
Therefore – I still want to go!!!

...so I’m not really one to recommend. But it’s no fun around August, cause it’s stuffy and full of smog. Lots of poverty next to huge golden buildings. Weird. People seemed nice enough though. I think Thailand is probably lovely once you leave the city.
