visit a UU church

Thanks for all the info and comments. I’ve been to the website and watched some videos and it just seems to make sense to me. I’ve tried so many churches and just haven’t found the one that feels right to me, so I’m hoping that this might be it. It’s hard to be so far away, but I’ll still try to get down there sometime. Who knows, maybe one is headed out here in the middle of nowhere!

I’d go today if I lived anywhere close to one. I live about 3 hours away from a UU church and that makes it a little tough. I have a friend who goes and loves it so much. Do any of you go? Do you love it?

I went and it just wasn’t my thing. I was bummed and tried to pretend it was working for me. I feel like it should have been perfect—it’s perfect for me on paper. But I just wasn’t feeling it. Still, I’m glad I checked it out. I’ve got a hot lead on the United Church of Christ (a liberal, almost post-Christian sounding church) and am eager to try them this week. Sending good thoughts to everyone on their journey!

I enjoyed my visit even though it wasn’t a service. I’ll definitely be going back.

I’m primarily used to Jewish temples. Our Reverend that married us was from the UU community so I wanted to see how she led her services. Pretty neat experience.
