watch the olympics

Usain Bolt, Michael Phelps, U.S. basketball and volleyball teams – incredible. And I was very impressed with the U.S. waterpolo team that finished behind Hungary for the silver. All good stuff. Had a good time watching when I had time for it.

I got to see some diving, which was nice, but the track and field 200 m finals, that was great. Usain Bolt (what a great name) was fantastic. What a talent. He can goof around all he wants. That just adds to the entertainemnt. With two world records, he kind of earns it also.

The women’s hurdles were also great.

But I could not stay up late enough to see the beach volleyball final. I had to read on the net that the USA won. Great job.

There has not been as much time to watch the Olympics over the last few days as I would have liked. With the long bike ride and the 2 family get togethers, all the time has been gone.

But I did catch a few events. I’ll have to check the NBC web site for hightlights. That would be a good thing to do at work where I have more time. (Don’t tell my boss.)

I can’t beleive I watched the entire woman’s marathon, but it was a great race. That Romanian showed she wanted the gold. Great effort.

I only saw the 2 preliminary runs of the 100 M.

I could not stay up long enough to see the finals and see Phelps last run. I’ll have to check the results else where.

I think I’m done with the obsession.

It was really, really good this year! Possibly the best I ever remember watching.

Beach Volleyball had some good come back wins for the Americans.

All those golds for Micheal Phelps.

And now track and field starts. This should be great. I did see a 1500 prelim last night. Exciting finish.

The USA women’s softball team looked awesome. They really put a hurt on Venezuela.
Beach volleyball, syncronized diving, and more swimming are also exciting. These people have a lot of dediction and talent.
I have missed most of the gymnastics, but maybe I can see some over the next couple days.

I’m finding out all of these things this year.

I just turned to it, and I had no idea that tennis was also a sport played in the Olympics. And I found out the other day there was fencing.

Neat-o.

They are really amazing to watch.

I thought that the Olympics were a professional thing, but I found out for the first time that they are amatures. That is really strange because some of these people are definitely competing on a professional level.
IMO.

My dad told me that little fact so I’m still waiting to find out if it is really true!

Watching the swimmers has been the best part for me. It’s always been gymnastics, but this year makes me want to buy a swimsuit and do a couple laps.
I might. It’s been a while!

What I really like about competitions like this being on TV is that it makes people want to go outside. Or realize that there is an outside. lol
